I try to feature ingredients that are readily available to most families; while mainstream supermarkets have improved over the years I realize it’s still sometimes hard to find everything there. Specialty food stores such as Whole Foods and Trader Joes are obviously great places to shop for healthy family food, but the internet can be a fabulous resource as well.
I buy a lot of items in bulk on Amazon, often through their subscribe & save program and/or using coupons. This link will take you to Amazon’s grocery sales & specials page, where they often have coupons for healthy snacks and pantry staples.
My favorite site to discover smaller brands and harder to find goodies (especially for allergies and special diets) is Abe’s Market. Sign up for their newsletter and follow them on Facebook to be in the known about sales and specials here.
You can also use the button below to purchase my healthy pumpkin and apple e-cookbook: $4.50 for 35 sweet and savory recipes; they are all free of processed ingredients with particular attention to food sensitivities. Once you receive the email PDF file, please save to your computer, as the software will not allow you to open it more than once. Thank you!
